Han Imkinna Tgan

Han Imkinna Tgan is the first film produced in Tinghir by a number of ambitious young Tinghirians. They are mixture of humble experiences in the field of Cinema. The film was just an idea that came to mind to these youngsters and spare no effort in fulfilling it.

The idea set out for the first time on February 2007. After that, the boys decided to work together on writing the scenario of the film. As they are all beginners, the spend a long time meeting in cafes of ouarzazat because they are studying there. The scenario was a fruit of different thoughts. Boys and girls are together making and discussing suggestions of their scenario.

When they finished, they called me to cooperate to fulfil the project. The earlier days of the vacation, we met in association Askter, Tinghir. We made the planning of the filming and we discussed the budget. We agreed that we need about 30000 dhs. The budget was too much to gain in few days but we did it.

We knocked all the doors that can cooperate with us. The main partners were the municipality of Tinghir, the federation of associations, GTF association, Hotel Tombocto. By the way, I don’t forget to thank them too much for their help. The second problem was to find a good camera. This was not an easy at all. We kept looking for a good one for many days. One lucky day, a group of three Spanish girls called “Cierses” came to Tinghir. They want to film a report on Immigration in Aachich. They contacted the Federation for help and the latter called us to meet them just so as to exchange some experience.

They had problems with their papers they couldn’t get permission for filming from the authority. In addition to that, they have some financial problems. We were together chatting when one of them said that they have two cameras and that they may rent us one. They said that it’s a professional one.

At first we hesitated because they may ask for too much money for a professional Camera. I saw that we have no option, so we accepted to use their camera. When we asked about the price, it was a surprise. They asked only for 150dhs a day whereas the fist man we asked for the camera (not professional) asked for 450dhs.

The next morning, Aziz and Hassan went with the girls to Achich to bring the camera. It was a very tiring but fruitful trip. They brought the camera without giving any dirham or sign any paper. The girls trusted us too much. After a week we send them their money via post office.

The next day we started filming. We started by descriptive views for the region because we still have some technical problems. As a responsible of casting, it was nearly impossible to find girls to act. I was looking up and down Tinghir with the director and manager of production. We nearly lost hope because we all know that Tinghir is a conservative region. Girls can expose themselves in media. They think it’s Hchouma!!

After all this, we found enough actors and we started the next scenes. The team was enthusiastic and motivated to work. We created a very wonderful climate of friendship between all the members. After sixteen days we finished filming.

After a month of montage, Ali finished the film. We decided to organise a ceremony for the first display of the film in the large room of the municipality. The team chose me with Nawal to animate the show. When I went to Tinghir for the display day, I found the guys prepared all what we need in addition to tea and lot of candy.

People watched the film for free and approved it. After the show, we discussed the themes of the film and we got more suggestions for the next project inchalla.

I have a dream

I used to think that dreaming is nothing but a shelter under which weak people hide when they face the cruelty of this world. I used to think that the dreamer is someone who choose to detach himself from the real life so as to enjoy his private dream that offers further dimension to make any stupid idea live. When I grew up, I felt that I was wrong. I misjudged dreams and the poor dreamers. I scorned Martin Luther king the biggest dreamer. I misjudged myself because I was a dreamer too.

To fulfil an aim you have firstly to taste its beauty. When you do so, there will be nothing in the world that can push you backward. To taste this beauty, there is no other easy way than having a quite moment with oneself in a free space and untie the imagination to reach the horizon.

Day-dreams are the first step for realizing a goal. This of course depends on the personality of the dreamer. The strong personality make the person spare no effort to realize it, whereas the weak tries to hide his in sand and try to satisfy himself through dreams. Bearing in mind that not any dream is realizable, I suggest that selecting one’s dreams is highly recommended. The dreams shouldn’t go beyond one’s abilities. It should logical.

Moreover, and this is the important part, have someone to share the dream with you, someone who really wants you to get it, someone that supplies you with hope when you fall in doubt. This is because up dating hope has a great effect on keeping dreams alive in hearts no matter how long.

Sharing a dream is not that easy at all. For this, you should both get the clear and the complete view of the dream before getting into action. We can share a dream only with people who believe in us. The worst dream destroyer you have ever to fear is the partner, especially if he or she is professional in nightmares.

As far as I am concerned, the terrible side of daydreams is when the dreamer spends the work time in dreams. As a teacher in a high school, I face this phenomenon all the time. I go mad when I see a student in class putting his/her hand on his/her cheek and fly out of the classroom. I know that it is natural because at this age the person reaches the summit of detachment with the real world and I feel sorry to disturb someone in his dream, but it is my job.

Dear dreamers, have faith in God and refresh your hope from time to time. Without hope the heart would break. And don’t devote all your life only to one dream. Have some sub-dreams so as not to have all the eggs in one basket.
